Yoghunsu

Yoghunsu is a river in the Sharur-Daralayaz uezd of the former Iravan governorate, later in the former Keshishkend (Yeghegnadzor) district, and currently in the Vayots Dzor province. It flows through the village of Alayaz.

The hydronym was coined by combining the words “yoghun” meaning “abundant, rich, watery” and “su” meaning “a river” in Old Turkic.
