Shahdagh is a mountain in the Novo-Bayazid uezd of the former Iravan governorate, later in the former Chambarak (Krasnoselsk) district, and currently in the Gegharkunik province. It is located between the village of Jil and the Gadabay district of Azerbaijan. It was marked on the five-verst map of the Caucasus.
The toponym was coined by combining the word “shah” denoting the title and the word “a mountain”.
