Molla Gasim was a village in the territory of the Echmiadzin uezd of the former Iravan governorate, later in the former Abaran district, and present-day Aragatsotn province. It was located near the Abaran River. The name of the village was noted in “The Iravan Province Review Book”.
The Azerbaijanis were attacked, massacred or ousted from the village by Armenian armed groups in 1918. The village was abolished after 1931.
The toponym was coined on the basis of a personal name.
