Hajigishlag was a winter pasture located in the territory of the Iravan uezd of the former Iravan governorate, later in the former Gamarli (Artashat) district, and present-day Ararat province.
The toponym was coined by combining the personal name “Haji” and the word “gishlag” (a winter pasture). Following the establishment of Soviet power, it was annexed to the village of Getazat.
