Gomaran is a mountain in the Zangezur uezd of the former Yelizavetpol (Ganja) governorate, later in the former Gafan district, and currently in the Syunik province. The mountain is located 22 km to the south of the town of Gafan, on the right bank of the Okhchuchay River.

The toponym was coined on the basis of the Turkic tribal name “Komar”.
