Golyeri was a winter pasture located in the territory of the Borchali uezd of the Tiflis governorate, later in the former Barana (Noyemberyan) district, and present-day Tavush province. It was located near the village of Lambali (Bagratashen). Later it was merged with the village of Lambali.

The toponym was formed from the words “gol” (a lake) and the word “yer” (a place).
