Georgian caravanserai

By the end of the 19th century, there were about 20 caravanserais in the city of Iravan. According to the Armenian researcher T.Hakopyan, the Georgian caravanserai was the largest and most famous caravanserai in the city of Iravan. There were 78 shops in the caravanserai, 24 of which were private shops.

It can be seen from the toponym of the caravanserai that this historical monument belonged to Azerbaijanis. Currently, a hotel “Sevan” has been built on the site of the Georgian caravanserai.
