Garaguzey is a mountain in the Iravan uezd of the former Iravan governorate, later in the former Vedi district, and currently in the Ararat province.

The toponym was coined from the words “gara” used in the sense of “tall, high” and the word “guzey” used in the sense of “north, a place where the sun does not fall”.
