Garabulag

Garabulag was a winter pasture located in the territory of the Borchali uezd of the Tiflis governorate, later in the former Barana (Noyemberyan) district, and present-day Tavush province. It was located near the village of Lambali (Bagratashen).

The pasture was inhabited by nine Azerbaijanis in 1926. In 1929–1930 the population was relocated and the winter pasture was dissolved.

The toponym was coined by combining the word “gara” used in the sense of “poor quality, unfit for drinking” in Azerbaijani and the hydronym “bulag”.
