Duzyurd was a winter pasture located in the territory of the Novo-Bayazid uezd of the former Iravan governorate, later in the former Chambarak (Krasnoselsk) district, and currently in the Gegharkunik province. It is located in the territory of the village of Tokhluja (Drakhtik).
The toponym was coined by combining the word “duz” used in the sense of “a plain, steppe” and the word “yurd” used in the sense of “a place of residence, dwelling, house”.
