Dashyatag

Dashyatag was a winter pasture located in the territory of the Borchali uezd of the Tiflis governorate, later in the former Barana (Noyemberyan) district, and present-day Tavush province.

The pasture was inhabited by seven Azerbaijanis in 1926. It was dissolved as a settlement in the 1930s.

The toponym was coined by combining the word “dash” and the word “yatag” used in the sense of “a mine, minery, a place abundant in some particular thing” in Azerbaijani.
