Chingillig is a mountain in the Iravan uezd of the former Iravan governorate, later in the former Ellar (Abovyan) district, and currently in the Kotayk province. It is located to the north of the village of Goykilsa (Kaputan) in the province.

The toponym was coined by adding the suffix “-lıq” to the word “çınqıl” which means “gravel”, “stone crumbs in the mountain”, “a small stone”.
