Chatag is a plateau in the Alexandropol uezd of the former Iravan governorate, later in the former Hamamli (Spitak) district, and currently in the Lori province. It is located in the territory of Gursali (Arjahovit) village in the province.

The toponym was coined on the basis of the word “chatag” used in the Turkic language to mean “a valley”, “a place where two mountains or hills merge”.
