Bughakar

Bughakar was a winter pasture located in the territory of the Borchali uezd of the Tiflis governorate, later in the former Allahverdi (Tumanyan) district, and currently in the Lori province.

People used to live here back in the 1920s–1930s. It was dissolved in the mid 1930s.

The toponym was coined by combining the word “buk” used in the sense of “a mountain pass “, “a narrow valley, ravine”, “a plain at the foot of the mountain, on the river bank “ in Turkic and the word “kar” used in the sense of “a steep rock” in Turkic.
