Birinji Alyanli was a village in the territory of the Zangezur uezd of the former Yelizavetpol (Ganja) governorate, later in the former Gorus district, and currently in the Syunik province.
The village was inhabited by 714 Azerbaijanis in 1886. The village was reduced to ruins in 1905–1906 and lies in ruins now.
The toponym was coined on the basis of the distinctive feature “birinji” and the tribal name “Aklanli”.
