Bayatlar

Bayatlar was a winter pasture located in the territory of the Lori Pambak uezd of the former Iravan governorate, later in the former Boyuk Garakilsa (Kirovakan, Gugark) district, and present-day Lori province. It was located near the Hallavar village.

The place was inhabited by 23 Azerbaijanis in 1926 (415, p.p.50-51). It was dissolved as a settlement in the 1930s.

The toponym was coined by adding the Azerbaijani plural suffix “-lar” to the Oghuz tribal ethnonym “Bayat”.
