Bayat is a mountain in the Lori-Pambak uezd of the Tiflis governorate, later in the former Boyuk Garakilsa (Kirovakan, Gugark) district, in the territory of the Halavar village of the present Lori province.

The toponym was formed on the basis of the Turkic ethnonym “Bayat”.
