Babajan is a river in the Novo-Bayazid uezd of the former Iravan governorate, flowing through the village of Babajan of the present Basarkechar (Vardenis) district, and in the basin of Goycha. Its length is 10 km.

The hydronym was coined on the basis of the personal name “Baybejan” mentioned in the epos “The Book of Dede Korkut”.
