Anaghizoghlu was a winter pasture located in the territory of the Novo-Bayazid uezd of the former Iravan governorate, later in the former Chambarak (Krasnoselsk) district, in the territory of the Tokhluja village of the present Gegharkunik province.
The toponym was coined by combining the word “ana” used in the sense of “main, basic, great” in Azerbaijani and the word “ghuz oghlu” (oğuz oğlu ) meaning “a son of the Oghuz”.
