Askili is a river in the Zangazur uezd of the former Yelizavetpol (Ganja) governorate, later in the former Gafan district, and currently in the Syunik province.

The hydronym was coined on the basis of the ethnonym “Eskil/Iskil” of the Turkic Bulgar tribe.
