Yellije is a mountain in the Zangezur uezd of the former Yelizavetpol (Ganja) governorate, later in the former Garakilsa (Sisian) district, in the territory of the Aghudi (Aguti) village of the present Syunik province.

The toponym was coined by adding the suffix “-je” denoting the feature of the augmentative degree of an adjective to the word “yelli” used in the sense of “a windy place”.
