Taliboghlu was a summer pasture located in the territory of the Kars uezd of the Kars governorate, later in the former Amasiya district, in the territory of the village of Ellarkend of the present Shirak province. It is located on the border with Georgia.

The toponym was formed on the basis of a multi-generational family name.
