Soghanli was a summer pasture in the territory of the Sharur-Daralayaz uezd of the former Iravan governorate, later in the former Keshishkend (Yeghegnadzor) district, and currently in the Vayots Dzor province. It was located in the south of the village of Govshug.

The toponym was formed by adding the suffix “-li” to the plant name “soghan” (onion).
