Siddiqa Rza gizi Gadimova was born in 1912 in Iravan. After completing the 5th grade at an Azerbaijani school in Iravan, she was sent in 1926 to study at the Baku Pedagogical Technical School. Upon graduation, she worked as a teacher for some time in Ordubad. After working there for several years, she continued her pedagogical activities.
From the 1930s onward, Siddiqa Gadimova dedicated her life to the press and radio of Western Azerbaijan. In 1937, she began working at the Azerbaijani-language newspaper Kommunist in Iravan and later became a journalist and translator of the newspaper Sovet Ermenistani. Resuming her pedagogical work in 1949, she was elected as a deputy to the Supreme Soviet of the USSR from Western Azerbaijan in 1950. Since 1970, she has worked as a senior editor in the editorial office of the Azerbaijani-language radio in Western Azerbaijan.
In addition to journalism, Siddiqa Gadimova was actively engaged in literary translation and translated several works into Azerbaijani. One of her translations was staged at the Iravan Azerbaijan State Drama Theater named after Jafar Jabbarly. Siddiqa Gadimova was a member of the USSR Union of Journalists and was awarded the honorary title of “Honored Journalist”. Throughout her career, she was awarded many honorary certificates and medals.
Siddiqa Gadimova passed away in 1986.
