Shahvarud is a mountain in the Novo-Bayazid uezd of the former Iravan governorate, later in the former Garanlig (Martuni) district, and currently in the Gegharkunik province. It was located in the territory of the former Kharatlig village.

The toponym was coined on the basis of the word “shah” denoting the title and the hydronym “bulag” (a spring, well).
