Seyidlar

Seyidlar was a village in the territory of the Novo-Bayazid uezd of the former Iravan governorate, later in the former Basarkechar (Vardenis) district, and present-day Gegharkunik province. It was located near the village of Huseinguluaghali (later “Narimanli”). The village was inhabited by 36 Azerbaijanis in 1926. The village was abolished in the 1930s. At present, it lies in ruins.

The toponym was coined on the basis of the name of the Seyidlar tribe of the Arabian Guraish tribe.
