Sariyal is a hill in the Novo-Bayazid uezd of the former Iravan governorate, later in the former Chambarak (Krasnoselsk) district, and currently in the Gegharkunik province. It is located in the territory of the Tokhluja (Drakhtik) village.

The toponym was coined by combining the word “sari” used in the sense of “big, high, lofty, tall” in Old Turkic and the word “yal” used in the sense of “the top of a high place, hillock, ascent”, “frontside of the mountain, slope, hill” in Azerbaijani.
