Sapadere is a mountain in the Zangezur uezd of the former Yelizavetpol (Ganja) governorate, later in the former Mehri (Meghri) district, in the territory of the Nuvedi (Nrnadzor) village of the present Syunik province.
The toponym was coined from the words “sapa” and “dere”. The word “Sapa” means “a fence, winding road”.
