Kohnekalafa was a village in the territory of the Borchali uezd of the former Tiflis governorate, in the former Barana (Noyemberyan) district, and present-day Tavush province. It was located near the village of Lambali. The village was abolished after being merged with the village of Lambali in the 1930s. During those years it was within the Allahverdi (Tumanyan) district.

The toponym was coined by combining the words “kohna” meaning “old, ancient” and “kalafa” meaning “ruined, destroyed, demolished”.
