Kireshdere

Kireshdere was a winter pasture located in the territory of the Borchali uezd of the Tiflis governorate, later in the former Barana (Noyemberyan) district, and present-day Tavush province. It was located near the village of Yukhari Korpulu (Dzorakap).

The pasture was inhabited by three Azerbaijanis in 1926.

The toponym was coined by combining the word “kirej” used in the sense of “alabaster, a white or yellow, calcareous mineral substance used in construction, sculpture, surgery” and the word “dere” used in the sense of “ a vale, hollow in the plain, ravine”.
