Kepez is a mountain in the Zangezur uezd of the former Yelizavetpol (Ganja) governorate, later in the former Gorus district, and currently in the Syunik province. It is located to the north of the Shurnukhu village in the province.

The toponym was coined on the basis of the word ‘kepez” used in the sense of “a rock”, “a rock by the water” in Turkic.
