Kechaltala is a hill in the Borchali uezd of the Tiflis governorate, later in the former Barana (Noyemberyan) district, and currently in the Tavush province.

The toponym was formed from the word “kechal” used in the sense of “a grassless place, bare mountain” and the word “tala” (a glade).
