Injabel is a mountain in the Zangezur uezd of the former Yelizavetpol (Ganja) governorate, later in the former Gafan district, and currently in the Syunik province.
The toponym was coined from the ethnonym “Inja” (thin) attributed to the Gipchak Turkic tribe and the word “bel” used to mean in Azerbaijani “the top of the mountain”, “the low passage between the two peaks of the high mountain, notch”.
