Gatargaya is a mountain in the Novo-Bayazid uezd of the former Iravan governorate, later in the former Chambarak (Krasnoselsk) district, and currently in the Gegharkunik province. It is located to the east of the village of Tokhluja.

The toponym was coined by combining the word “gatar” used in the sense of “a chain rock, hill, mountain” and the word “gaya”.
