Garadagh was a winter pasture located in the territory of the Gazakh uezd of the former Yelizavetpol (Ganja) governorate, later in the former Shamshaddin (Berd) district, and present-day Tavush province. It was dissolved in 1930.
The toponym was coined by combining the word “gara” used in the sense of “tall, lofty, great” in Azerbaijani and the word “dagh” (a mountain).
