Ganali was a village in the territory of the Sharur-Daralayaz uezd of the former Iravan governorate, later in the former Keshishkend (Yeghegnadzor) district, and present-day Vayots Dzor province. It was located to the northeast of the village of Yelpin.
The village was initially inhabited by Azerbaijanis, who gradually left the village after Armenians had been settled in the region. The village was abolished in 1924. At present, the village lies in ruins.
The first component of the toponym was “gana/gano” and means “a canal”.
