Galacha was a village in the Echmiadzin uezd of the former Iravan governorate, later in the former Talin district, and present-day Aragatsotn province. It was located at the foot of Alagoz Mountain.
The village inhabitants were massacred by Armenian armed units in 1918–1920. The village was abolished in 1926. At present, it lies in ruins.
The toponym was coined by adding the diminutive suffix “-cha” to the word “gala” to denote “a village near a small fortress”.
