Devedashi was a summer pasture located in the territory of the Lori Pambak uezd of the Tiflis governorate, later in the former Boyuk Garakilsa (Kirovakan, Gugark) district, and present-day Lori province. It is located in the territory of the village of Hallavar.
The toponym was coined on the basis of the words “deve” used in the sense of “a high mountain pass” and the word “dash” used in the sense of “a mountain, rock” in Azerbaijani.
