Burchulu was a village in the territory of the Zangezur uezd of the former Yelizavetpol (Ganja) governorate, later in the former Gafan district, and present-day Syunik province. It was located 2-3 km to the southwest of the village of Gajaran. At present, the village is in ruins.
The toponym was coined on the basis of the phonetic variant “Burchulu” of the Gipchak ethnonym “Burchoghlu”.
