Boznali

Boznali was a village in the territory of the Zangezur uezd of the former Yelizavetpol (Ganja) governorate, later in the former Garakilsa (Sisian) district, and present-day Syunik province. The name of the village was marked as “Bozlu” on the five-verst map of the Caucasus). “Boznali” or “Bozlu” are the distorted forms of the name. The village was abolished in the early 19th century.

The toponym was coined on the basis of the ethnonym “Bozlu” of the Turkic Beydili tribes. The village has been reduced to ruins.
