Boyuktepe is a hill in the Borchali uezd of the Tiflis governorate, later in the former Vorontsovka (Kalinino) district, in the village of Jujakend (Gizil Shafag, Dzyunashogh) of the present Lori province.

The toponym was coined by combining the word “boyuk” used to mean “wide, tall, large” and the word “tepe” used to mean “ a hill, a small mountain” in Azerbaijani.
