Balatuklutepe

Balatuklutepe is a hill in the Borchali uezd of the Tiflis governorate, later in the former Barana (Noyemberyan) district, and currently in the Tavush province. It is located on the border of the villages of Yukhari Korpulu and Gachaghan in the Marneuli district of Georgia.

The toponym was coined by combining the word “bala” (means “small”) denoting a distinctive feature in Azerbaijani toponymy and the word “tuklu” used to mean “a dense bush” in the Borchali dialect of Azerbaijani and the word “tepe” used to mean “a hill, a small mountain”.
