Aligishlaghi was a village in the territory of the Sharur-Daralayaz uezd of the former Iravan governorate, later in the former Keshishkend (Yeghegnadzor) district, and present-day Vayots Dzor province. It was located near the village of Hasankend (Shatin).
After the massacre of the Azerbaijanis and the settlement of Armenians in the region during the Russo-Iranian war in 1826- 1828, the Azerbaijanis gradually left the village. The village was inhabited by 19 Azerbaijanis in 1831. There is no further information about the inhabitants in the subsequent years. At present, the village is in ruins.
The toponym was coined by combining the name “Ali” and “gishlag” meaning “Ali’s wintering place”.
