Alchali was a village in the territory of the Zangezur uezd of the former Yelizavetpol (Ganja) governorate, in the territory of the former Gorus district, and currently in the Syunik province. It was located at one km distance from the village of Aghbulag.
The toponym was coined by adding the Azerbaijani suffix “-li” to the fruit name “alcha” (alycha or cherry plum). At present, the village is in ruins.
