Aghgaya

Aghgaya is a mountain in the Zangazur uezd of the former Yelizavetpol (Ganja) governorate, later in the former Gafan district, and present-day Syunik province.

The toponym was formed by combining the word “agh” which means “high” in Old Turkic and the geographical name “gaya” used to mean “a rock”.
