Artdash was a village in territory of the Novo-Bayazid uezd of the former Iravan governorate, later in the former Garanlig (Martuni) district, and present-day Gegharkunik province. The village was abolished in 1950.

The toponym was coined on the basis of the words “art” meaning “a mountain pass” and “dash” meaning “a mountain, a rock” in Turkic.
