Sahatli was a village in the territory of the Echmiadzin uezd of the former Iravan governorate, later in the former Gurdugulu (Hoktemberyan) district, and present-day Armavir province. It was located on the left bank of the Araz River. The name of the village was marked as “Sogutlu” on the five-verst map of the Caucasus.
The village was historically inhabited by Azerbaijanis. The Kurds were settled in the village in the 1840s. The village was abolished in 1930.
The toponym was coined on the basis of the name of the Turkic Saatli tribe which took part in the formation of the ethnogenesis of the Azerbaijanis.
