Duzkend was a village in the territory of the Echmiadzin uezd of the former Iravan governorate, later in the former Gurdugulu (Hoktemberyan) district, and present-day Armavir province. The village was abolished in the early 20th century.
The toponym was coined by combining the words “duz” meaning “a plain” and “kend” meaning “a settlement, a town”.
