Sudlubulag was a village in the territory of the Echmiadzin uezd of the former Iravan governorate, later in the former Abaran district, and present-day Aragatsotn province. The name of the village was noted in “The Iravan Province Review Book” and stated as “Suddibulag” in the Armenian source.
The village was inhabited by 70 Azerbaijanis only in 1897 and 28 Azerbaijanis in 1914. The village was abolished after the Azerbaijanis had been attacked, massacred or expelled from the village by Armenian armed groups in 1918. At present, it lies in ruins.
The toponym was coined by combining the words “sudlu” meaning “qualitative, fresh, as white as milk” in Azerbaijani and “bulag”.
