Gizilkharaba is a mountain in the Novo-Bayazid uezd of the former Iravan governorate, later in the former Garanlig (Martuni) district, in the territory of the Gizilkharaba village of the present Gegharkunik province.

The toponym was coined on the basis of the word “gizil” used in the sense of “red” denoting the color of the soil and the word “kharaba”.
